This report provides a synopsis of the work surrounding the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) reorganization during the period January 1993 to January 1995. Volume I of the report documents the formation of Task Force Aesculapius; the role of Organizational Design, Incorporated; and the impact of the reorganization on other AMEDD activities. Other topics covered include background reasons for the reorganization, the analytical process, concept plan development, implementation of the concept plan, major subordinate command anlyses, marketing the reorganization, and related issues. Volumes II, III, IV, and V contain enclosures which include the MEDCOM Concept Plan, Task Force charters, selected reorganization briefings, and major subordinate command reviews.
