Though some Army recruiters will use any means to get a potential recruit to enlist in the Army, should Army recruiters lie and use unethical practices in order to make their mission? There has always been a fine line that Army recruiters walk in order to achieve retention goals. We are a nation at war. Consequently, it is harder for Army recruiters to get prospective recruits to join the Army or its sister services. The recruiter's job is to locate enough eligible volunteers to fill anticipated vacancies for the fiscal year, for their particular branch of service. Army recruiters are faced with tougher competition from civilian workforce employers these days. In recent years, more and more civilian corporations have offered college tuition payments and signing bonuses to future employees, which have been core Army recruiting incentives for a number of decades. The Army wants to meet its recruitment goals and recruiters are under great demands to meet these goals and make mission. A great number of recruiters are extremely motivated professionals committed to projecting a positive representation for the Army.
