The United States of America has revolved over time in Army war tactics and doctrine. We have seen an enormous change from the Revolutionary War to Operation Iraqi Freedom. These tactics and techniques have made our Army more lethal in Combat and have made our enemies wary of initiating war against us. These tactics and techniques have made our men and women of the Armed Forces more lethal and skilled on the modern day battlefield compared to the days of old. We have gone from the lines of battle to the trenches of Viet Nam; from the rivers of the Mississippi to the beaches of Normandy. We gained and learnt from these pioneers of our past and continue to educate our Soldiers today for tomorrow's battles. Many of these tactics and techniques has been passed along through history and through our military schooling ie: The War College, United States Army Sergeants Major Academy and through the Combined Arms Lesson Learned (CALL). We will discuss some of these tactics and techniques from some our past war campaigns.
